1. Meals and Extras
All meals taken in the Hotel/Lodges are based on American Breakfast (full breakfast), set menu (dinner/lunch), unless otherwise specified in your travel vouchers.
2. Photographs
Photographs of the State House, Airport, and Military Installations are prohibited and advice must be taken from your driver/guide before taking any photographs.
3. Passport, Travelers Cheques, Cash & Valuable Articles
Passport, Travelers checks, cash and all other valuable articles should not be left in the Hotel/Lodge rooms or vehicles and must be carried by you all the time or be stored at the reception safe.
4. Currency
All tourists entering the country will no longer be required to declare their foreign currency if they are holding up to US$5000.00. However those entering the country with more than US$ 5000.00 in cash must declare their foreign currency at the point of entry (The same applies to all International Currency equivalent to US$ 5000.00). It is allowed to change Tanzanian Shillings back to your foreign currency, through reliable Bureau de change subject to commission. The import and Export of Tanzanian Shillings is prohibited.
5. Tipping
Tipping is at the discretion of the visitor/s and following should only be used as a guideline. For outstanding personal services, you may decide to give a higher tip/s.
Porters US$ 1.00 per suitcase
Dining room staff US$ 1.00 per head
Your Tour driver/guide US$ 5.00 per person per day
6. Airport Tax
There is an airport departure tax of US$ 30.00 per person flying out of the Country (International Flight). Within Tanzania, the tax is Tanzanian Shillings 5,000.00 per person or US$ 6.00, at each departure point (Airport /Airstrip). All flights include the Airport Tax, if not then the said amount is to be paid.
7. Baggage Allowance (local flights to parks)
Please be informed, you are allowed to carry only 15 Kgs, at the time of flying from City to National Parks, and preferable in soft bags. – Any excess is subject to charge.
